What is a Volkswagen bay window bus ?

It´s a Volkswagen it was build from August 1967 to May 1979, Volkswagen Germany produced about 2,465,000 of this type II bus.The factory name is T2. The splitscreen bus (1950 ~ 1967) factory´s name was T1.

Why the name Bay window bus ?

We go back to the first Volkswagen bus the T1, the splitscreen bus has the characteristic split in the windscreen. The second type II Volkswagen bus, the T2, has a "modern" wide (bay)window screen.
